JoeAnn Holifield, 66, of Soso, died at her residence, Thursday, April 12, 2012.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, April 14, at Memory Chapel with burial to follow at Union Line Cemetery in Jones County. Revs. Nonnie Jefcoat and Steve Clark will officiate.

JoeAnn was a life-long resident of Soso. She was married to Paul M. Holifield for 47 years. They had three daughters, Paula J. Holifield, Kelly M. Barlow (Mitch) and Dixie L. Barksdale (Tim), all of Soso; six grandchildren, Heather Barlow, Kenny Barlow, Macy Barksdale, W. C. Barlow, Brayden Barksdale and Landry Barksdale; three great grandchildren, Ashlynn and Krystin Whitehead and Seth Barlow.

She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She was a homemaker, seamstress, bus driver and business owner. She wore many hats but mother and wife were her most cherished. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Mitchell Holifield and her parents Malcolm Dewey “Slim” Williams and Katie Mae Williams.

Pallbearers will be Lindsey Hill, Kyle McDonald, Chad Green, Charles Musgrove, Glenn Musgrove and Doug Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Robby Bynum, Ken McDonald, Bobby Ray Green, Bobby Coats, Sammy Hill, Denny Welch, Bobby Scarbrough and Hershall Bragg, Jr.

Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 pm Friday, April 13 at Memory Chapel of Laurel which is in charge of the arrangements.
