Joseph Lee Van Etten, 74, of Laurel, died Sunday, November 18, 2013, at his residence.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at Memory Chapel. Mr. Levi Jones will officiate. Burial will be held at Pine Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, Lawrence, MS at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2013.
Mr. Van Etten worked in the Molding Department at Delco Remy and was a member of the Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Joseph and Jimmie Weems Van Etten; two brothers, Harlon Van Etten and Mat Sim Van Etten; and three sisters, Margaret Harris, Frances Sommers, and Jessie Mae Ellis.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Van Etten of Laurel; one son, Mitchell L. Van Etten and wife, Audra of Fosters, AL; three daughters, Angela Loper and husband, Guy of Decatur, Karen Goggans and husband, Richard of Laurel, and Sharen Prine and husband, Jamie of Kiln; ten grandchildren; and one sister, Elizabeth Pace and husband, James Wallace of Collinsville.
Pallbearers will be Jim Gandy, Craig Wells, Mitch Debose, Durand Loper, Gabriel Van Etten, and Blake Stephens.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at Memory Chapel which is in charge of the arrangements.
