Jack Haze Hilton

Jack Haze Hilton, born April 13, 1932 in Laurel, MS passed from this life on October 9, 2022 at the age of 90. Mr. Hilton was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. He worked in oilfield for Halliburton Services for 36 years until his retirement in 1991. Mr. Hilton lived his life to the fullest and was passionate about many things. During his years at Halliburton, he enjoyed playing golf at the Dixie Golf Course, and in his later years, he was a part of the “Old Men Club” at Dixie Majors World Series. He also had a passion for youth baseball as he found joy in developing young men and passing his love for baseball on to them. With his wife, Iris, he enjoyed square dancing, tending to their farm, and being a part of FBC Sharon. Although Mr. Hilton had many hobbies and interests, more than anything, he loved the Lord and his family as his sons, granddaughter, and grandsons were his whole world, and he loved them more than anything. He was preceded in death by his parents, U. D. and Martha Mullican Hilton; siblings, Bernice Graves, Eva Mae Sims, Joyce Jensen, Tommy Hilton, A. B. Hilton, U. D. Hilton, Loren Hilton, and Bill Hilton; his first wife, Joyce V. Hilton; and sons, Danny Hilton, Doug Hilton, and Kyle Hathorn. Survivors include his only living sibling, Frances Lighty; his wife, Iris Hilton, children, David Hilton (Terri), Dale Hilton (Sandra), and Kyn Hathorn (Noroha); grandchildren, Leslie Ann Holley (Paul), Timothy Hilton (Christina), Matthew Hilton (Allyson), Philip Hilton (Jackie), and Samuel Hathorn; and great grandchildren, Maddy Maryanne, Max, Fisher, Vivianne, Finley, and Baby Hilton. Services will be held at Memory Chapel Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 with visitation beginning at 12 noon and the service following at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Lake Park Cemetery in Laurel. Bro. Matt Olson will officiate. Pallbearers will be Timothy Hilton, Matthew Hilton, Philip Hilton, Paul Holley, Rocky Boone, and Ricky Boone. Honorary pallbearers will be Cole Boone, B. A. Riser, and First Baptist Church Sharon Men’s Sunday School Class.
