Aubree Kathryn Jackson Moore

Aubree Kathryn Jackson Moore, of Laurel, Mississippi, was born April 6, 2008, and passed away on August 27, 2026, at the age of 18. Aubree was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Jack Thomas and Max Phillips. She is survived by her loving parents, Kris and Stefanie Moore, and her sister, Avery, of Laurel; her grandparents, Gwen and Randy Creel of Taylorsville, Angela and Keith Moore of Summerland, and Suzi Phillips of Summerland; her uncle, Jason Thomas; her aunt, Katherine Powell, and cousins Parker and Jackson; her aunt and uncle, Brooke and Karl Moore, and cousins Eva and Reese; her aunt and uncle, Nicole and Kory Moore, and cousins Rosie, Owen, and Amelia; her aunt and uncle, Giovanna and Patrick Creel, and cousin Ben; and her uncle, Bobby Creel. Aubree loved her family deeply, and she especially treasured her time with her grandparents. She loved cheering on her Mustangs, particularly during their 2023 State Championship year, traveling with her family to beautiful places, reading a good book, and picking out the perfect outfit for every occasion. Aubree appreciated both the excitement of new experiences and the simple, everyday moments that became some of her family's most cherished memories. Those who knew Aubree will remember not only how beautiful she was, but how beautifully she treated others. Her classmates saw it too, electing her Homecoming Queen and honoring her as Most Admired — recognitions that spoke not only of how loved she was but the kindness and genuine spirit she shared with those around her. Aubree had an extraordinary eye for the little things — a name, a birthday, the small details others might overlook — because to her, no moment with the people she loved was ever too small to remember. Her mother especially treasured hearing her recount her day and the thoughtful details she would recall. Aubree faced more in her young life than anyone should ever have to face, yet through it all, she showed tremendous courage, grace, and strength beyond her years. She was surrounded by a loving family and by countless people who prayed for her, encouraged her, and loved her fiercely. Aubree's family finds comfort in their faith and in knowing that she is now at peace in the presence of Jesus. While their hearts ache for the years they desperately longed to share with her, they hold tightly to their faith and the promise that they will be united in heaven. Aubree's love for others, and the beauty with which she lived her life, will remain a lasting light and legacy for all who knew her. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 5:00–8:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Laurel, Mississippi. A service celebrating Aubree's life will be held Friday, September 4, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the church, with burial to follow at Lake Park Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi. Pallbearers will be Karl Moore, Kory Moore, Jason Thomas, Patrick Creel, Bobby Creel, Trey Cannon, and Neal Cannon. Honorary Pallbearers will be Parker Powell, Jackson Powell, and Ben Creel.
