Brenda Kay Worley Andrews The long battle draws to an end for this weary body, scared and worn by the ravages of too many years battling the enemy of cancer. Though the flesh is tired and has met defeat today, the spirit soars knowing that it will be in the presence of the Lord, God Almighty for all eternity. Friends and all those Brenda loves do not be discouraged for she is the winner, having fought cancer and the enemy of man, losing only to cancer in the limitations of her body and man's medicine, but is triumphant in Christ and will bow at the feet of our Lord to praise him forevermore. Remember Brenda as the constant and faithful prayer warrior as she remembered us all in her prayers and boundless love for all of us during times of need as well as celebrating in times of plenty. Brenda Kay Worley Andrews is in the presence of the Father, Son, Holy Spirit, the saints and heavenly host on this day Wednesday, 17 June in the year of our Lord 2015. Glory, power, honor and praise be unto the Lord for this woman, made for me that we should love one another by the example of Jesus loving His bride, the church. Let no man neglect such a gift and strive to love, honor and cherish her in awe of such a blessing be given to him by the Father. Married Friday, 14 June in the year of our Lord 1974. Forty one years, three days and in love with one another thru it all and forevermore. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, James Henry and Marion Johnson Worley. Survivors include her husband, Wilson C. Andrews, Jr. of Laurel; three daughters, Ember Andrews Maxwell (Jesse) of Diamond Head, MS, Felicia Andrews Graham, Denton, TX, and Virginia “Ginny” Andrews Shaw (Kevin) of Ellisville; four grandchildren, Brytan Maxwell, Sofie Maxwell, Gabriel Graham, and June Shaw; and two brothers, Norman Worley of Onalaska, Texas and Jimmy Worley of Lafayette, LA. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Smith, Leonard “Twig” Dalton, Harvey Saul, Neil Payne, Chuck Bridges, and Dale Strickland. Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2015, at Highland Baptist Church in Laurel, with funeral services to be held at the Church at 9 a.m. Saturday. Burial will follow at Lake Park Hills Cemetery. Rev. Gene Douglas will officiate. Memory Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
