Callie Diane Fountain

Callie Diane Fountain of Ellisville, MS, age 75, born November 3, 1949, passed away at the home and in the presence of her devoted daughter/caretaker, Gloria on January 13, 2025. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the service will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 18th, 2025 at Memory Chapel in Laurel, MS. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery. Services will be officiated by Pastor Robby Webb and Chaplain Brad Brownlee. Mrs. Fountain was preceded in death by her parents Larney and Zettie Bell McInnis of Laurel, brothers Jerry and Harry Logan, sisters, Shirley Scrimpshire and DeLois Landrum, and son-in-law Willy Patterson. She is survived by her husband of 55 years James (Cotton) Fountain. She was the devoted wife of Mr. Fountain, with whom she shared a life full of love and cherished memories. Mrs. Fountain’s legacy lives on through her children: Terry Patterson of GA, Gloria (Chuck) Roney, Teresa (Michael) Shows, Denise Fountain, and James (Amy) Fountain, all of MS, two sisters Rebbie Blackledge of Ellisville, MS and Margaret Pope of Prairieville, LA, as well as a host of nieces and nephews. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 4 bonus grandchildren, who brought immense joy and love to her life. Her love extended further to her 6 great-grandchildren and 8 bonus great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored deeply. In her final hours, Mrs. Fountain was cared for with extraordinary love and compassion by her future grandson-in-law, a dedicated registered nurse. His devotion to ensuring her comfort and well-being in her final moments is a testament to the bond they shared. Mrs. Fountain will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her humor, and the joy she brought to those around her. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Williams, Phillip Fountain, Raymond Scrimpshire, and Robby Brownlee.
