Charles Tolbert

Charles Junior "Bug" Tolbert, 82, of Laurel went to be with the Lord September 8, 2012 at South Central Regional Medical Center. Funeral arrangements will be visitation Monday, September 10, 2012 from 5:00 until 9:00 pm at Memory Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel with funeral services Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Park Haven Baptist Church, 3110 Hwy 15 North Laurel, at 10:00 am with visitation at the church beginning at 9:00 am. Bro. Danny Stringer, Bro. Drew Blanton, and Bro. Thomas Cheeks will be officiating. Burial will be at Sharon Cemetery. He was born June 13, 1930 in Neshoba County and lived in the Sharon Community. He was a charter member of Park Haven Baptist Church. He also served his country as a United States Marine during the Korean War. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He is proceeded in death by his wife of 60 years, Luevene Clark Tolbert, and parents, Charles Tolbert, Etta Killen Tolbert and Marie McDaniel Tolbert; four brothers David Wesley "Tink" Tolbert, William Wallace Tolbert, James Cleveland Tolbert, William J. Tolbert. He is survived by his four daughters, Etta Williams and husband Donnis, Linda Stringer and husband Danny, Clarice Shoemake and husband Harry, and Beth Taylor and husband Daniel; three sons, Clyde Tolbert and wife Darlene, Marvin Tolbert, and Wayne Tolbert and wife Vickie. One granddaughter, Melanie Taylor and four grandsons, Don Williams, Mitchell Tolbert, Lee Shoemake, and Sean Shoemake; four great grandchildren, Sydney, Skyler, Sean Gregory, and Peyton Shoemake; three sisters, Audrey Crosby, Barbara (Danny) Byrd, and Shirley (Tommy) Touchstone; three brothers, Harvey (Susan) Tolbert, Howard (Elaine) Tolbert, and Paul (Carol) Tolbert and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be sons, Clyde Tolbert, Marvin Tolbert, and Wayne Tolbert and son-in-laws, Donnis Williams, Harry Shoemake, and Daniel Taylor. Honorary Pallbearers, will be grandsons Don Williams, Mitchell Tolbert, Lee Shoemake and Sean Shoemake. Memory Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
