Eva Rae Moore

Mrs. Eva Rae Moore Eva Rae Moore, 83, of Summerland community, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2011, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel. Funeral services will be held at Summerland Baptist Church, Summerland community, on Saturday, October 29, at 3:30 p.m. Rev. Eric Estes and Rev. Kory Moore will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Moore was born in Stringer and moved to Taylorsville at a young age. As a teenager, she moved to Summerland and then graduated from Taylorsville High School, valedictorian of the class of 1945. She was married to Dale Moore for 53 years until his death in 2000. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, farmer and homemaker and was very active in her church (Summerland Baptist Church), community and local school. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lillian and Willie Edd Lowe and her sister, Willie Mae Lowe Hill. She is survived by her 4 children: Belinda Brown and husband, Don of Biloxi; Roland Moore and Mary Lynn Colalillo of St. Augustine, Florida; Keith Moore and wife, Angela, of Magee; Randy Moore and wife, Meg, of Laurel. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Tammy Brown Nobles and husband, Shannon; Alicia Moore O’Brien and husband, Dan; Matthew Moore and wife, Renee; Tracy Moore; Karl Moore and fiancé, Brooke Thomas; Kris Moore and wife, Stefanie; Kory Moore and fiancé, Nicole Jones; Ben Moore and wife, Meredith; Margaret Anne Moore James and husband, Wesley; John Randall Moore and wife, Leslie. Her great-grandchildren include: Alex Nobles, Anna Grace Nobles, Elliot Moore, Aubree Moore and Avery Moore. She is also survived by her brothers: Frank Lowe of Bay Springs and Edward Howard Lowe of Taylorsville; and a large host of nieces and nephews and cousins as well as many wonderful friends. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and Jack Lofton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Goodwater Baptist Church, Haiti Missions, 1313 Goodwater Road, NW, Magee, MS 39111 or Summerland Baptist Church, 80 SCR 28 W, Taylorsville, MS 39168. Visitation will be held at Summerland Baptist Church on Saturday, October 29, at 1:00 p.m. Memory Chapel of Laurel is in charge of the arrangements.
