Inez Elizabeth Kilpatrick

Inez Elizabeth Kilpatrick “She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. She looketh well to the ways of her household and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up and call her blessed.” Inez Kilpatrick, 92, of Ellisville, MS, formerly of Laurel went to be with her Lord February 1, 2012 at Comfort Care of Laurel; following a lengthy illness. Prior to being a resident of Comfort Care, she was tenderly cared for by her family at her home for several years. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, February 4 at Memory Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Scott Davis and Rev. R. G. Hancock. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Laurel. Born November 11, 1919, she spent her life as a witness for Jesus Christ. She was a charter member of First Assembly of God in Laurel and later Kingston Assembly. She was dedicated to her church, her family, and her many friends. “Nanar, as she was lovingly known, loved to sing hymns and loved to laugh. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed having her family and friends over for a meal. She dedicated many years to the care of her mother. She will be sorely missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, E. B. and Rena Kelly Phillips; husband, J. C. Kilpatrick; sisters, Gertrude Phillips of Laurel and Virginia Susco of Bristol, Connecticut; three brothers, Earl Phillips of Laurel, Ervin Phillips of Laurel and Sidney Phillips of Laurel. She is survived by her sons, Larry (Linda) Kilpatrick and Eddie (Woodie) Kilpatrick of Ellisville. Grandsons include Larry, Jr. (Laura) of Ellisville, Danny (Marie) Kilpatrick of Louin, and Brad Kilpatrick of Ellisville. Her granddaughters are Regina Larosa of Ocean Springs, Karen Costlow of Houston, TX and Kelly Tittle of Birmingham, AL. Great grandchildren are Lee, Ethan, Eli, Evan, Tristin, and Elizabeth Kilpatrick and Jakub Tisdale, Cade Tittle, and Colby Tittle. Sons and Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family would like to thank Julie Kuykendell, Elisha Thompson, Glinda Martin, and Patricia Smith for their dedicated love and care of Mrs. Kilpatrick. Also they would like to thank the staff of Comfort Care. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 3, from 5 until 9 pm at Memory Chapel of Laurel which is in charge of the arrangements.
