Mitchell Vernon Dickerson

Mitchell Vernon “Mitch” Dickerson, AKA Mr. Miyagi, 66, of Stringer, Mississippi, passed away on February 24, 2026. Mitch was a devoted husband, proud veteran, and a man known for his loyalty, strength, and love of the open road. He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Wilma and Tom Johnson; his father and stepmother, Pat and Mary Ann Dickerson; his brother, Richie Dickerson; and his nephew, Nicholas Dickerson. He is survived by his loving wife, Ann Dickerson; his brother and sister-in-law, Greg “Red” Dickerson and Melissa Dickerson; his brother and sister-in-law, Jeff Johnson and Penny Johnson; his nieces, Kalli Waguespack and Sydney Moran (Max); his nephews, Jason Dickerson, Tyler Johnson (Shelbe), and Tanner Johnson; his great-nieces, Sophia Waguespack, Isabella Waguespack, Raegan Johnson, and Peyton Johnson; and his great-nephews, Noah Waguespack, Ellis Moran, and Renley Johnson. Mitch proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1983 to 1987. He was a perpetual member of Ellisville Masonic Lodge No. 161, valuing fellowship, service, and community. He was also a proud member and Vice President of The Sons of Silence Motorcycle Club (Mississippi Chapter). Those who knew Mitch understood that, aside from his love for his wife, his greatest passion was riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He found freedom and peace on the open highway, embracing the journey and the friendships formed along the way. He will be remembered for his steadfast character, his quiet strength, and the deep love he had for his family and friends. His presence will be greatly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He lived life his way and to the fullest. Visitation will be held Friday, February 27, 2026, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, MS, from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. followed by a service at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be at Good Hope Cemetery in Stringer, MS. Officiating will be Mr. Mark Lloyd, Chaplain of The Sons of Silence, and Patrick Davis, Unit President of Hellfighters.
