Duke Alan Parish Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

On August 21, 2021, God called his servant Duke Alan Parish to his heavenly home. Duke graduated from West Jones High School in 1973. He then joined the USCG and served from 1976-1980. He was stationed in New Orleans, LA. Duke entered the oilfield in 1973 and he remained in oilfield work until present. He worked for C&J Safety Solutions and Oventiv in Midland, TX. He was an ordained deacon and licensed lay preacher. Duke lived his life with joy in sharing the Lord with all people. He led countless men and women to Jesus in Angola, West Africa; Singapore; Usinsk, Russia and several other countries. He loved his Jesus and he loved serving Him. He was a member of West Ellisville Baptist Church and a Lifetime Gideon. Duke was married to Brenda Reid Parish for 45 years. He has two sons, Joseph (Melanie) and Joshua (Christy); and 5 grandchildren, Mackenzie, Jackson, Makayla, David, and Hope. His babies were the joy of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lindsey and Elizabeth Parish; a brother, Steve Parish; maternal grandparents, Buck and Jessie Massey; paternal grandparents, Dave and Mae Parish; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He leaves behind his brothers, Craig (Lisa) and Scott (Tonya); several nieces and nephews; and a brother-in-law, James Reid (Tina). He was an avid old car and truck collector. He was loved dearly and will be missed greatly. His favorite song was “Victory in Jesus” and his favorite verse was John 17:11 (KJV). Funeral services will be held at Memory Chapel in Laurel, MS with burial to follow at Salem Heights Baptist Church Cemetery. Josh Parish will officiate. Pallbearers include Joseph Parish, Josh Parish, Mackenzie Parish, Jackson Parish, David Parish, and DJ Parish.
