Jimmy Stephenson

January 8, 1950 - February 22, 2022

Jimmy Randell Stephenson, born January 8, 1950, passed from this life on February 22, 2022 at the age of 72. Jimmy worked the majority of his life offshores and finished his career working at Solar Group in Taylorsville, where he retired at the age of 62. He loved to be outdoors hunting and fishing and eventually moved to his own version of paradise at Chotard Lake, where he enjoyed his peaceful retirement with his trusted companion Ruger. He was always there for those who needed help and was a great roll model for his three sons. He was preceded in death by his parents, father Thadys Hershel Stephenson of Heidelberg and mother Henrietta Bynum of Magee. He is survived by his three sons, James Richard Stephenson (Ricky); Justin Randell Stephenson (Justin); John Robert Stephenson (JR); and one sister, Sherry Jean Kelly of Magee. He had five grandchildren, Alyssah Stephenson, Emma Stephenson, Laylah Stephenson, Liam Christianson, and Cole Christianson. A Memorial will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 12th at Memory Chapel of Laurel.
