She was a hairstylist in Laurel for 30 plus years, retiring to help her husband with his new career. She was a devoted wife, mother, friend and grandmother. Her family was her life. She gave unselfishly to her children, grandchildren and her friends and was loved by everyone. She was full of life and joy in all her endeavors. She loved to be at her camp in Gautier and loved to spend time with her friends talking late into the night many times. She loved going on cruises and spending time with her family. Her greatest joy was in her children and later her grandchildren. She married her only love at just 17 years old and later adopted their 2 children who she loved more than if she had given birth to them. She was a devoted caregiver to her husband throughout his illness and loved him through health and sickness as she was commanded by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Jarvis Parish, her father John Floyd and her mother Gladys Everett Thompson. She is survived by her sister Gloria Gavin Jefcoat (Billy), her son Gregory Earl Parish (Joy), daughter Sonya Parish Sanderson, granddaughters Faith Nicole Parish, Anna Marie Parish Strickland (John), Amy Elizabeth Sanderson Bounds (Zack) and Natalie Kendall Sanderson, two great grandchildren Hadlee Claire Wand and Carter Huston Bounds, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
