Kenneth Lee Schrock

Kenneth Lee Schrock, 67, of Hot Coffee, Mississippi, went to be with his loving Savior on August 18th, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. Kenneth was born on October 5th, 1956, in Goshen, Indiana, to Lester and Louise Schrock. He married the love of his life, Miriam Graber, on December 24th, 1976. Kenneth dedicated his career to his passion for driving a big truck. For 50 years and over three million miles, he worked tirelessly to provide for his family, exemplifying his strong work ethic and commitment to being a Godly man. In his spare time, you could often find him lending a helping hand to a friend or neighbor. A devoted member of the Maranatha Mennonite Church in Taylorsville, Kenneth accepted Jesus as a youth and lived out his faith through acts of service and generosity. His life was a testament to the values he held dear, and his consistent kindness and selfless living enriched the lives of those around him. Those who had the privilege of knowing Kenneth could easily attest to his genuine care for others, often placing their needs ahead of his own. For the children in the congregation, church services could hardly end fast enough as they headed for Mr. Kenneth's pocket filled with Jolly Ranchers. Kenneth enjoyed the simple pleasures in life: a Saturday evening at Graham's Fish Camp, giving zip-line rides to the grandchildren, or a bag of Twizzlers. He loved to sing, and you could often catch a tear in his eye when singing about the beauty of heaven. Kenneth is survived by his beloved wife, Miriam Schrock, who stood faithfully by his side in sickness and in health. He is also survived by his five children, Darryl (Laura) Schrock, Nathaniel (Jennifer) Schrock, Melissa (Scott) Stauffer, Amanda (Phil) Watson, and Melinda (Travis) Shantz. He is also survived by his mother, Louise Schrock, as well as by his three brothers, James (Margaret), Mark (Marie), and Tom (Brenda) Schrock, along with thirteen grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces. Kenneth’s legacy will live on through his cherished children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Lester Schrock. A celebration of Kenneth’s life will take place at Summerland Baptist Church in Taylorsville on August 21st at 10 AM. Visitation will be held at the church on August 20th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Kenneth will be laid to rest in the Maranatha Mennonite Cemetery in Hot Coffee, Mississippi. Memory Chapel of Laurel, MS, is in charge of the arrangements.
