Robert "Ben" Touchstone

Robert “Ben” Touchstone, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away on June 2, 2024, at the age of 48. Born on October 20, 1975, Ben lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to his family and passions. Ben had a love for bass fishing and could often be found on a lake or a river. He also enjoyed hunting and spending time in the woods. His loyalty to the Alabama Crimson Tide was unwavering; Saturdays in the fall were dedicated to cheering on his favorite team. However, above all, Ben cherished his family and friends, finding joy and pride in every moment spent with them. He is remembered by his loving wife, Meagon Touchstone, and his three children: Lane (Amy) Touchstone, Kippy (Taylor) Touchstone, and Audrey Touchstone. Ben was a proud grandfather to Bennett and Waylon Touchstone. He also leaves behind his mother, Verlene Touchstone, his in-laws, Herbie and Rosalind Kuhn, his sister Kristi (Jamie) Miller, and brothers-in-law Marshall (Morgan) Kuhn and Jordan (Michelle) Kuhn. His nephews, Aaron (Brooke) Herrington, Jared (Shea) Herrington, and Nathan Herrington, and his nieces, Mia Kuhn, Mary Michael Kuhn, and Gracie Kuhn, along with his great-nieces, Aubree Herrington and Abby Herrington, will all hold his memory in their hearts. Ben was preceded in death by his father, Larry Touchstone. Ben was a man of strong Christian faith and found comfort in God’s forgiveness and grace. Ben's legacy of love, dedication, and passion for life will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Pallbearers will be Aaron Herrington, Jared Herrington, Nathan Herrington, Andy Waites, Jason Herrin, Stacy Holliday, and Jamie Thomas. Honorary pallbearers will be Marshall Kuhn, Jordan Kuhn, Jamie Miller, Herbie “Hoss” Kuhn, Ryne Breland, John Rowell, Bryce Dearman, Jacob Lieux, Charles Waites, Brian Long, Ethan Hunt, Chris Moss, Josh Russell, Kippy Blaney, Chad Blaney, Wesley Blaney, members of Jackson County Bassmasters, and members of Jones County Bassmasters. A visitation to celebrate Ben’s life and faith will be held on Friday, June 7th from 5 until 7 p.m. at Memory Chapel Funeral Home. The service will be held Saturday, June 8th at 11 a.m. at Memory Chapel. The funeral will be followed by a procession to Myrick Cemetery. Oh, and ROLL TIDE.
