Constance "Connie" Coker

Constance (Connie) Coker was born on February 11, 1950. The oldest daughter of Prentiss and Annie Louise (Ance) Henley Sr. and left this Earth to spend eternity with her Lord and Savior on September 17, 2015. She was a devoted wife of 45.5 years, a dedicated worker in her church and the Youth Courts of Jones and Covington Counties. She enjoyed helping others in need; especially young people. She volunteered many years of her life as an unpaid worker and Fundraiser in school clubs and youth organizations, and as an additional Vocational Agricultural Teacher at Northeast Jones High School. She spent her life in service of others, multiplying the love that the Lord placed in her to all that she met. She will be missed by many coworkers, friends, and family. She is survived by her husband Randall H. Coker, sons Ben (Jennifer) Coker of Hickory Flat, MS; Adam (Sharon) Coker of Brandon, MS; five Grandbabies that she loved dearly: Abbey, Will, Carrington, Ellie Kate, and Lily Coker. Also, she is survived by 2 brothers: Dennis (Kare) Henley, Brandon, MS, and Prentiss Henley, Jr. and Vickie, Heidelberg, MS; and a sister: Marie Henley, Laurel, MS. She is survived by two sisters-in-law that were like sisters to her: Margaret Rankin and Carolyn Payne. The family requests instead of sending flowers, to make a donation to the: Connie Coker FFA Scholarship Fund, 1003 Riverchase N Drive, Brandon, MS 39047. Her Pallbearers are her loving sons and nephews: Ben Coker, Adam Coker, Kevin Coker, Brad Payne, Mark Lyon, William Allbrook, Jared Vega, and Justin Vega. Alternate Pallbearers are Kent Coker and Kyle Brooks. The family would like to thank the entire staff of Jackson Oncology Associates and Baptist Medical Center of Jackson, MS for excellent, compassionate care during her illness. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on September 19th, 2015 and from 1-2 pm September 20th, 2015 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel, MS. Mrs. Sally Rustin will sing her requested song Love Lifted Me and she will be eulogized by her son Adam Coker and her pastor, Rev. Jimmy Holder at Memory Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel, MS on September 20th at 2 pm; with a graveside service to follow at Florence Congregational Methodist Church of Sandersville, MS.
