Edna Mae Ward, beloved mother, and nanny passed away at the age of 73 on March 23, 2021, at South Central Regional medical center surrounded by her loving family. Edna Mae Ward was born on October 24, 1947, in Melvin, Al. She is preceded in death by her mother, Jettie V. Corbin, father, Ellis Langley, brother, Johnnie B. Langley, brother, Eugene Langley, sister, Ollie Jean Burrough, sister, Virginia Malone, sister, Ida Mae Smith, and sister, Bobbie Burgess. She is survived by her five children, Billy Hicks (Petra) of Killeen, Texas, Pamela Campbell (Leo) of Laurel, MS, Robert Kaminski of Pennsylvania, Bradley Kaminski of Ludowici, Georgia, and Janice Helms of Ludowici, Georgia, and 8 grandchildren, Sara Hicks of Killeen, TX, Jennifer Hicks of Killeen, TX, Amanda Williams (Michael) of Taylorsville, MS, Benjamen Campbell (Jessie) of Bay Springs, MS, Abigail Wariner (Brad) of McDonough, GA, Troy Laurimore of McDonough, GA, Chase Helms of Covington, GA, and Josh Kaminski of Radcliff, KY and 9 great-grandchildren, Kensie, Brayden & Bradley Williams, Julie and Hunter Campbell, Audrey, Collin, & Conor Wariner, and Jordan Helms. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and numerous others. Edna Mae was a homemaker and a loving mother and nanny. Besides spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren Edna Mae had a passion for the beach, flowers, listening to music, sitting on her porch, cooking for everyone, and caring for her dog Pistol. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren calling her “Nanny Maw”. Edna Mae was feisty and full of life. She was a strong-willed, determined, and candid woman. Edna Mae was an extremely private person all of her life. Edna Mae will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank Jasper General Nursing Home for their devoted dedication and caring hearts for taking care of Edna Mae during her time that was left here on earth.
